The MI-2E Oil Skimmer, operates on the rotating disk priniciple and will remove most types of oil, even in the presence of debris. 

 

The quickly deployed electrically driven 12 volt D.C. powered unit has a self-contained capability for dealing with smaller oil spills.  An air powered version is also available.
